Our History
Connecting MBA talent across Australasia for more than four decades.
MBA Australasia has a long history of supporting MBA students, graduates, alumni, educators and business leaders across the region.
The organisation traces its origins to the Graduate Management Association of NSW, established in 1978 to support graduates of management education and strengthen the professional standing of postgraduate business qualifications.
In 1993, the organisation expanded nationally as the Graduate Management Association of Australia, creating a broader professional body for MBA and postgraduate management graduates across Australia.
In 2020, the Graduate Management Association of Australia and MBAus came together to form the modern MBA Australasia. This marked a new chapter for the organisation, with an expanded focus on connecting MBA students, graduates, alumni, business schools, corporate partners and industry leaders across Australasia.
Today, MBA Australasia continues that legacy as a cross-institutional professional community, promoting the value of MBA qualifications, supporting lifelong professional development, recognising excellence and creating opportunities for meaningful connection between MBA talent, education and industry.
