I’m Robert Hoffmann, a Director in BDO’s Project & Infrastructure Advisory team, driven by a passion for shaping communities through well-founded investment decisions. For me, infrastructure isn’t just about projects, it’s about creating lasting impact by ensuring every decision is backed by a robust, evidence-based business case.

 With a foundation in civil engineering and economics, I specialise in business case strategy, authoring, and coordination, bridging the gap between technical excellence and financial sustainability. My approach ensures that the best technical solutions align with cost efficiency and deliver real value to stakeholders.

 Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across the full project lifecycle, from planning and economic analysis to project management, detailed design, and construction oversight. My experience spans diverse sectors including Live Entertainment, Precincts, Education, Transport, Energy & Natural Resources, Water, Health, and Defence, partnering with local, state, and federal governments as well as private clients.

 Beyond my professional role, I contribute to industry leadership as a Board Member of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland (IAQ) and support community initiatives through Baby Give Back. These roles reflect my commitment to both advancing infrastructure outcomes and giving back to society.
