Wasim Malik

Wasim Malik is a Board Director and risk executive with more than 28 years of global leadership across enterprise risk management, operational and business resilience, cyber resilience, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), and ESG. Based in Sydney, he advises boards and executive teams on turning complex regulatory and risk landscapes into clear strategy and measurable resilience.

He is Founder and CEO of Risk Professionals, a global consultancy, where he leads advisory work in business and supply-chain resilience, AI governance (ISO/IEC 42001), business continuity (ISO 22301), information security (ISO/IEC 27001), and ESG and sustainability reporting aligned with GRI Standards and ISO 26000. He previously served on the Global Board of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and works as a Senior AI and Cyber Security Consultant in the public sector.

Earlier in his career, Wasim was Principal Consultant in GRC at CyberCX and Global Head of GRC at Bravura Solutions, where he led the company to global ISO 22301 certification. As Head of Business Continuity and Governance at Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait, he guided the bank to become the first in Bahrain certified to the standard. A Certified Sustainable (ESG) Practitioner, he integrates sustainability and governance into enterprise resilience.

A Fellow of the BCI and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), he was inducted into the BCI Hall of Fame in 2018 and holds an MBA in Information Systems from Oklahoma City University.
